    Recaro seat identification

    Hello

I have the opportunity to buy what I believe to be an original Recaro sport seat.
Could you please confirm this point ?
For what year is it correct ?

Many thanks in advance for your help

Well, the upholstery is completely non-original and the configuration of the slider mechanism and headrest make it ‘68 only in terms of the correct style for the early 911/912.

    My opinion at any rate.

Thank you Michael for your help
I could figure out that the center was not original but I did believe the side bolster were original vinyle.
This is not the correct pattern ?

At the risk of being slapped down no, I don’t think it’s the right perf. Pattern. Almost looks like a basketweave vinyl?

    Francois,

If you don't want them, I'll take them. Looking for these for my 68 and would need to recover them regardless. PM me if you pass.

Michael, you are completely correct with your statement. See the attached picture, the basketweave on the right place and the correct pattern of the perforation.

Well I am now the happy owner of this 1968 Recaro sport seat.
I will restore it as upholstery is not original / neither my taste.
But in between I have to find a D shaped headrest and lower rails with bracket.
Would you have any source to recommend ?
For the sliders, carpoint.de and Cartex sell some reproduction. Are these correct ?

Actually I just need the lower rails so if anybody has some for sale, please let me know.
For the D shaped headrest, no joy after long search on Internet. Any source again to recommend ?
    Thank you for your help

    Hi Francois,

the rails from carpoint are made for rallye seats. For Sport Seats the lower part of the frame will be appropriate but the rail attached to the seat is too short for a sport seat. I would say the price is also terrible.

    good luck with your search
