    Porsche Classic H4 LED

    @all,

i just got note on a probable rumour about
    Porsche Classic entering
    the LED H4 market with
    an own branded product

    PCG631134H

start, as I heard, will be in november.

    background:
despite osram and phillips having the LED smon the market, there is no approval
for any Porsche here in Europe.
So if you do use these, your car will loose its operating permit and you will get fined up to being forced to hand in your license plates. So actually it is no fun using them..

    enjoy and br

the LED are already out in the field and in usage - the 964 gang in Germany had them
already in hands and the product is now official with all papers and else…

I have received the pic of one of our friends

it is a direct hot swap drop in

    enjoy

Phillip, I do not have these installed, as I do have the Cibies on board.
The friends, who do have these, have them behind their standard Bosch screen, so they are not visible at all...

I try to get a pic...

My Lighting Consultant Daniel Stern would not allow me to get near these.

It certainly is to me. You can rest assured that I won't sell any junk under Daniel's supervision. Although I wouldn't, at least knowingly (but that's the key). He's the knowingly one.

Maybe that’s why so many assumedly LED-based light setups seem excessively bright these days? The bulbs are not properly positioned relative to the reflectors (as seen in your tech article elsewhere)?

Exactly. Especially bad here in Oregon where many pickup owners think they have cleverly found a cheap way to upgrade their headlights. Bogus marketing claims do a lot of harm. Automobile lighting is a serious science - and an important one. It's not about fancy boxes and hyperbole.
