    Twin coil bracket

Did Porsche make a twin coil bracket? If so I would like to buy one. Or do folks just cut and weld the single brackets together.

I put a common bolt through the inner flanges.

What Paul says above seems to be a good method. Check out the twin coils on the white 1974 RSR in this post and you can see the common bolt running through both coil brackets: https://forums.pelicanparts.com/pors...lug-coils.html

There are some custom brackets out there too… guess it depends on the look you’re after.

    Thanks guys.
I think I’ll have both cut, welded, and sent out for new zinc plating.
I don’t want the center bolt. Just not clean enough.

Wasn't there a fellow from New Zealand that was making a repo of the factory set up?

    Thanks, Rick

    917 coil bracket

Factory built racing cars used this type of coil bracket, it has an open slot across the center, and...it's made of titanium. this photo is the David Piper 917. the twin set up are 2 standard steel single brackets stacked together. Looking for other examples to post...

If you care about weight reduction and ease of maintenance, I make them out of aluminum to save weight over titanium.
