    Aside from the Broadarrow auction and the 356 club swap meet at EMPI, any other Porsche events on Fri/Sat/Sun?

    Yes, Autokennel (there in Costa Mesa) is having a cars & coffee event. Paul always hosts a good gathering at his shop. it is scheduled on Sunday from 9am to 11am.

    Excellent - I've been to a couple of LAG's at Paul's when I've been in town. Always a good time.

    Got the Nasty Car all tidied-up --- interior, too . . . then headed on out to bunk at my Sis' place, Friday night

    Next morning, got to the OC Fairgrounds ~0615?

    Load-up was scheduled for 0700, but, knowing how many Porsches there could be in South County, never mind SoCal, I was expecting Porschegedon. Maybe the Organizers, too? --- they started staging us at quarter 'till

    Still no more than 40-or-so cars when I got there --- kinda encouraging . . . and all kinds of cars, too. Even chatted with a couple that drove their 928 out from Alabama

    They had us queue in several lines, in the parking lot West of the Ampitheater --- which was worrisome . . . but then they started trooping us into the venue proper

    Not to worry --- HUGE space

    !

    Lotsa space --- everybody was parked every other spot, with plenty of room in-between . . . = zero crowding


    Best thing about being there early?

    No crowds!

    Boy --- would that change!
