    Painting question

Hello everybody, it's been a long time since I've chatted with you guys. Wanted to check to see I've got a 1966 912 finally got all the bodywork done sprayed the undercoating. The next question is do you paint do you paint over the body sholts on the bottom, the trunk and the rear engine compartment with black paint? Or do you just leave the body shultzs as it is?
Would the bottom also be painted black?

For 66, the engine bay, trunk, underside and wheelwells were all back undercoat just as you have shown (nice job!). Not sure for 912, (Reutter vs. Karmann?) but 911 had body paint applied over undercoat on side rockers from center line of the side decos downwards, and continued on the same line to the rear and onto the rear side bumper pieces. But the undercoating should have been applied before body paint. It's a detail many overlook -- no big deal.

It looks great Doug! Undercoating to be covered with 2k satin black paint.
