Thanks Peter. And again, I would rather have that happen than move my shop again.

Just read this whole thread. Quite the Christmas read. It reminds me of another person I have dealt with in the years of waiting for my car, and through three subsequent major issues. Both of you are perfectionists, take too much stuff on, make promises you can’t keep and put yourself in harm’s way as a consequence of exhaustion from aforementioned issues. Except in Robert Gross’s case he was in a Mini (and he too has plans to move his shop - so I can’t even imagine!). Very glad you dodged a bullet on your wreck. We need all the dedicated craftsmen we can get in this hobby. Maybe step back and evaluate the chain of events leading to it and whether that is worth the cost. Of course that wreck was 12 years ago, but still….

In the mean time, Merry Christmas !

The last time we moved our shop, and believe you me, it will be the last time, it took 5 years to move and get everything on the shelves. Luckily we owned both buildings so we could do it slow and get everything organized at the new shop, but moving is pure hell. We moved one truckload at a time and put everything where it belonged at the new place, that's why it went sooooo slow.

Do you think - maybe - it's time to remove the "Warning" in the title ... I think Shaun doesn't really deserve this as he is one of the few perfectionists around ... in saying that I echo Ravi's comments.

Mods can remove this post if they think it is inappropriate ...

    Happy holidays everyone!

On the contrary Stephen I think it deserves to be in LARGE CAPITALS AND BOLD so that fewer people get to experience the frustration and angst that Shaun delivers to many as they try to get their jobs completed. It has nothing to do with his quality of work, although I never got to experience that anyway. It simply serves as a warning as to what they may be exposing themselves to and I for one wish this "Warning" thread had existed before I sent an engine grille to him.

Peter, who agreed to buy my grille from Shaun after I was refunded, is now in that same web with promise after promise not met. It is now 3.25 years since Shaun received that grille, I believe that deserves the Warning.

    Merry Xmas from Down Under.

It looks great on your car John, very glad you like it. It was far more work than I anticipated but worth it in the end. Hope you are enjoying the car after so many years!

    Please change "WARNING" by "Experiences".

Every time I visit the forum I think a disaster happened.

Just a man trying to perform to perfection. Sure he must improve on planning of his work, but I believe he got the point.
