    the nice thing about this piece is trhat the weatherstrip channel is probably the correct 20mm wide
    the reproduction cowl chanel are 18mm
    the rubber goes in .... but it is squeezed... and when the hood is closed it raises the hood to cowl alignment/ flush

    yes i never quite understood why RD uses different gauge (thicker) sheet metal for most of there parts than the factory used. i assume they scanned the inside of there sample and did not subtract the extra wallthickness in CAD--wrong data milling.... but you can`t beat cut and paste anyways
