    '67-'68 door top aluminium trim

I'm wondering how exactly the aluminium trim was attached to door tops in '67-'68 S (and L). Is the door top itself exactly the same - just trim added to it?

The other trim related is question relates to aluminium trim in dashboard inserts: I have seen cars both with alumium strip with both sides of the vinyl inserts and then some with trim only in upper side of the trim. How should it be in late '68 S (SWB)?

    Thank you already in advance

    Br,
    Aki

the long lower knee bump is specific for 911S and 911L
these pieces have the provision for accepting the trim piece
other model knee bumps will not accept the trim piece

Ok - this makes sense and explains the different observations. Thank you!
