    FS: 6 and 7 FUCHS dated Feb/March '68

I have a set of early Fuchs 6" and 7". I have owned them for some years. They have been sitting on the shelves in my study while I waited to find a car to put them on. Pretty sure I am not going to need them now, so time for someone else to enjoy them.

The 6 are deep rims and are date stamped 3/68

The 7 are date stamped 2/68

They appear to have been refurbished at some point. So they don't have ink stamps. They are exactly as I bought them from a seller on here 5 or so years ago.

    I'd like $8500 for them.

If you need them shipped to the USA or Europe I will help. They will be boxed up and put on a pallet by Prill Porsche Classics in the UK. You will be responsible for arranging to have them picked up by the shipper of your choice. What I would say is that I recently sold my extremely heavy Rudge wheels to a Speedster owner in LA with no problems. DHL took them away and they were on his car inside 10 days.

    my email is johnbrewer@me.com

I can take as many photos as anyone needs, on request. On my scales the wheels weigh between 11 and 12 lbs, or some small amount over 5kg. Thanks.

So the 7” would be “R” wheels correct ?

I am not a wheel expert and, as I say, the backs appear to have been restored so I can't see part numbers.

But going by the dates, weight and the shape of the ribs, they seem a lot like these.

Hopefully someone will be along shortly to deliver a definitive opinion!

This is a very rare set of 911R Fuchs, or at least from the racing departement.
Deep 6 earlier than 6/68 are very rare, much rarer than 7R.
And these 6R are also 2-300 grammes lighter than the ordinary production deep6.

I have a set from 12/67 and 3/68 on my 67 912 and love them for what they are!

On the 3/68 rim I can see an ink stamp of 361 012. Can u make out the last 2 digits ? If it is 03 , you have direct confirmation that these are 6R's.
