    67 bumper trim questions

Working on a 67 911 that had a low option build sheet. The front bumper has no holes to attach a trim strip. Were there cars that did not have the trim strip? I havent looked inside the front bumper yet, but I will do that tomorrow. Also, if I choose to add a trim strip-is there a source for the rubber insert to replace the original insert that always shrinks with age?
    Thanks for your answers.

As far as I know, all SWB cars had front bumper aluminum decos with rubber inserts. 67 S had its own, wider deco. Could be that previous owner filled in the mounting holes along with two holes on each side to mount bumper over-riders regardless if they were installed or not. Aluminum deco is readily available as aftermarket for sure (not sure if OE available, but if not, best to find original and have it refinished depending on level of finish you're looking for). Rubber inserts also readily available, which need to be trimmed at each end.

My guess, the holes were filled.

Can anyone direct me to a Stoddard product number or other supplier source of the rubber insert strip that goes into the trim strip?
    Thanks in advance

Stoddard does not have the correct rubber insert for a '67's , Eric Linden - Auto Foreign sells the correct rubber .
