    What kind of switch

Can someone please tell me what kind of switch this is and the years it was used. Furthermore, is there a way to check if the switch is fully functional without mounting it to the car?
    Any input is much appreciated.
    Regards.

Stefan, that’s a switch for the Webasto Heater, late 68-73 with the rubber knob and symbol insert.
