Solex 40 PI cleaning of Jet Support

You will see 2 jet supports for a 1965 Solex.
The one I have used 1000 and 2000 sand paper the other is before cleaning and has a white powder like debris.
The sanding appears to be removing the grey surface.
What is the best way to clean these?
Can the one I've sanded be treated or painted to return it to its original state?
    Thanks

Vapor blasting. It's quick and easy and the results are repeatable. What you have will take all of 5 minutes including opening and closing the cabinet.

I was told vapour blasting can leave small particles inside various passages.
Did you blast this carburettor fully assembled ?
    Looks fantastic.

My friend with the cabinet did the work. Took it completely apart before.
