Thread: Can the minimal gauges be upgrade to full S spec?

    Doug, I think Gordon gave you a good summary. Was not aware of the issue with the oil tank level but this is probably the one you least need. If you want to use the spot, have it converted into a voltage gauge.

    Then again, if you are planning on converting it into a hot rod, you should discuss options with the builder. They may have good ideas.

    Thanks for all the replies.
    I think in the end I will forgo having an oil tank level gauge and defer to a voltage reading instead.
    Simpler, cheaper and as Gled says it’s pretty simple and more accurate to just get in the habit of checking your dipstick after warming up the car.
    I will be sending all my gauges to Mr Bell over the winter for refreshing and updating.

    Hi Doug:

    If you have the car and the space for the level sender is just capped, I would get the sender and go that route. The level gauge in te cabin in nice. If it does not have the provision for that, definitely, I would go for a voltage gauge.
