    FS: 911 Steering Wheel Extended Hub (901.347.081.05, 901.347.082.11, 901.347.082.73)

    These hubs were never sold separately but only found when ordering a new car (Option 416) or buying a complete steering wheel assembly.

    The original extended hub wheels had 30mm spacers that were inserted between the hub and the steering wheel before being riveted together to form a single assembly.
    These new parts combine both the hub and the spacer into a single part.

    Features:
    * Stronger and faster to install than separate hub spacers
    * Pre-finished in satin black
    * Lightened for a 36% weight loss
    * Includes the often missing, NLA top cover.

    Material: Aluminum, 6061-T6
    Finish: Ra 12µm (As machined)
    Coating: Anodized, Type II, Class 2 (Black)
    Weight: 503.06 grams (36.1% weight loss from OEM parts)

    These assemblies come with all the required fasteners:
    * Hub-Wheel: ButtonHead, Socket Screw, Steel, 10.9, Zinc, M5x12 Qty: 6
    * Hub-Turn Signal Cancel Ring: Flat Head Machine Screw, SS, M4x6 Qty: 2
    * Hub-Horn Support Ring: ButtonHead, Socket Screw, M3x10, SS Qty: 3

    They require the purchase of a 30mm longer horn contact pin: 914.347.832.00, SS: 91434783201.

    The price is $142.12 each.
    Shipping within the US is by USPS Priority ($10.40). International shipping is available but requires the purchase of insurance.

    Silly question, but what is the purpose of the extended hub? besides the obvious that it extends the hub.

    Primarily for taller, longer legged drivers. Puts the wheel closer.

    Works well on the factory 380mm wheels used on a 911 because it provides more distance between the wheel rim and the dash.

    Jim, I am a little confused where you said the SWB cars had the extended hub slipped in between the hub and steering wheel. I have a 67 my brother ordered new with an extended hub. The extended hub is riveted on at time wheel was made.
