Beautiful car. Do people drive these perfect cars? Colorado mountain roads have sand and grit year around. Another chip on the bumper or hood on my car is the norm on most drives.

I have no doubt the car has been beautifully restored, but I do have a question that no one seem to ask: how did you fix the price in excess of USD 300.000?

I haven’t seen an early 911 selling for close to that amount in years.

PS: please note that the above is not meant as a critical comment. Not at all, as I’m aware of the cost of restoration and how rare “good” 911S are. Just curious to know how the asking price was set. Thank you!

One price guide is Hagerty's Valuation Guide. For the 67S they value a #1 car (concours) at $335 and a #2 car (excellent) at $285. I have been told that a factory installed sunroof, which is a rare option, can tack on up to an additional 20% to those valuations. All in all, the asking price seems fair.

    Hello Milou,

My asking price is derived from Hagerty valuation chart together with a couple of sales from BAT .
There are not many 1967 Porsche 911S in high standard for sale or sold recently. The highest sale was of a 67S SWT, also in Irish green, which I helped to restore, brought US$427K through BAT. There was a slate grey 67S (non sunroof) that brought US$308K , and of course Eric Linden ‘s 67S SWT did not meet reserved price at US$356K . Eric’s car subsequently was sold for a lot more than last high bid.

Here is the valuation chart from Hagerty insurance
According to Hagerty’s site, the valuation chart is compiled with market data from:
    70% Peer to peer sales
    20% Auction sales
    10% Dealers sales

When was the last time you see another 67S coupe with factory installed sunroof freshly restored for sale?
Like they say “ Go find another ! “

All fun talk ! When a serious buyer comes along , I am all ears!!!

    Cheers,
    Hen

That IS a critical comment tho, especially since it's on a public forum. Why not send a PM instead? Seems way more appropriate to me....

I don't think so. It was a good question, asked the right way.

And the answer was appropriate too

What 's the VIN of this car, by the way?
