FS: first gen Bosch H1 long flute lenses 008

If you know then you know. The very first H1 headlight glass lenses had a special long fluting that stretched down to the BOSCH script. These lenses had part number 1305.614.007.008. They have never been reproduced so you know a car is unique and original when it wears these - you can see the difference if you know. Of course the BOSCH script is raised on the outside. Very rare to find these.

    $500 plus shipping and fees

When I had my 68S I collected a number of these lenses some 007, some 008 some 007/008 never looked into or understood the differences.

Ahhhh the sixties... I envision myself one early Saturday morning wearing plaid shorts, black shoes with white socks smoking a cigarette heading to the hardware store to buy a bag of nails.
SWB cars are an acquired taste however once acquired theirs no turning back.

    I think 007 and 008 are exactly the same. I know 008 exist in yellow, I don't for 007.

Illustration ( line drawing item labelled no.70 ) in the Porsche Spare Parts Catalogue shows the fuller length flute IMG_3491.jpg the plate date is 11/67 MM/YY, the edition is supplement VII.

Similar illustration in the equivalent plate (item no.17) in my original 70 binder for 71.

They didn’t always update the line drawings in these binders
