    can someone tell me - what this is? I have it since some time and I don't know what to do with it ;-)

    this is a splitter for either a speedo drive or a tach drive. It doesn't change the gearing (w1.0 label)
    Applications could be fitting a taxameter, a distance measuring device like a halda tripmaster or similar.
    Another application could be for driving a mechanical tach (smiths/vdo) and driving a mechanical rev limiter (bosch)

    I find it interesting that two of the screws are wired with a lead seal. For some reason VDO did not want any one inside. Tamper proof. Rob

    So that people couldn't use them to mess with their odometers.
