    Question VIN Plate cleaning

My VIN plate is in need of attention. I have gently washed it to minimal success. I have used a scotchbrite pad with little success. Any suggestions?Name: IMG_0920.jpg

Mine were well preserved, but I use Semichrome polish. Don’t think yours will make it back to like new.

Leave it Alone. That is called PATINA and adds Value.

Depending on the results I achieve, the PATINA may be the way it stays....

3M used to make a spray on aluminium cleaner, acid based. I used to buy it at auto paint supply stores. Used to prep aluminium parts before priming with zinc chromate.
