    does anyone know

    After the 1973 Targa Florio with Steckkonig - Pucci , is this history 100% correct and proven ? :

    1973...74 Dunlop , England (tire Testing ? sold to Dunlop Tire ?)

    1974 sold to Dave White via Peter Gregg
    1975 : sold to Edgar Ramirez
    1985 : Sold to Diego Febles


    ....and either way , does anyone know the motor number and type it ran at the this event (Targa Florio 73) ? . Was this a 2.7 ? I see the street injection which would go with a 019 pump. And single or dual plug ?

    From what I observed, 0002 was only used as a test car before the race. It is hard to say what the engine size was mounted. On racingsportscars, the car is listed with a 2700 engine (which seems logical to me).

    It should be remembered as well, that the car has a German license plate, and has passed the TÜV (the certificate of conformity for a vehicle registered in Germany), in other words, a stock or TÜV-approved airbox is often required to meet noise and emissions standards. I think that for various reasons, the car was indeed equipped with a 2687cc engine, just like 911 230 1139 (Targa Florio 1972 #23T camera car), which had (almost) the full M491 option, with a 2341cc engine.

    I think I have all the details at home, but won’t be there for a few days.
    but it wasn’t 0002 It was R2 911 36000020

    From memory for the race they dropped R8’s Engine into it after R8 was destroyed in practice
    I think I have all of the engine numbers being used in practice but not necessarily in the competition in my paperwork
    I definitely have engineer singers, engineering notes from practice for each of the cars

    I'm a bit confused, would it possible for you to elaborate why this spare/training car was 0020 R2 ?
    I though that 0020 R2 was used by Leo Kinnunen and Claude Haldi, car n°9 ?

    E42 at Targa Florio, Engine No. 693 0037, Gearbox No. 712 0029

    No other information or engine type is given.
    Looking for Porsche motor, engine, case 902173 3880016 6300080 6301557 6308504 6310001 6310922 6311032 6520673

    i am finally able to check my files
    my records agree that at the Targa it raced with engine number 6930037 and had gearbox 7120029 unlike the other Martini R cars that mostly had 783xxx in their 1973 races and did so at the Targa
    6930037 was used in practice in R6 ( I thought that it had used R8's engine but that was 6930050) R6 used 6930035 in the race which had been used by R8 at Monza as its race engine
    engines 6930030 to 6930050 were the RSR race engines used in 1973 interchangeably from the Le Mans test in April to Watkins Glen.

    i dont have a type number against all of them but i do for a couple, including 6930035. It is 911/74 and shown as 3.0 The 911/74 were 95x70.4 (2994) with 315 HP /8000RPM with throttle valves (not slides they were 911/75) However given that these cars ran in prototype category you cant rule out that some of this series of engines may have been 911/75 spec at some stage adding an extra 15 hp

    at the Targa, according to Manfred Jantke E42 arrived on May 9 with the 3 race cars. It probably had a more or less stock RS engine at that stage (See picture) and practiced with both the 107T and 108T numbers and was renumbered as 107 after R8 crashed

    in may 1972 it was used as a test bed for the development of the 911/74 engine at the Osterreichring 1000km so had many different engines in it (and was delivered without an engine at all so probably none of them would have been completely stock RS engines)

    I have that same history, and it is / was on the website for RS club de France as the car was bought by someone in France in 2016/17
    it is all sourced from what John Starkey has put together but I have no indication that it is inaccurate

    Used by the factory for testing & homologation Gr.4 during the 1972/1973 season

    25/06/1972 Osterreichring 1000km: Waldegard / Stekkonig, car n°5, result : 10th over all

    03/1973 : "Martini" press car , #3

    Targa Florio 1973, car n°107, Martini racing Team

    Wind tunnel test

    Sold to Dunlop England as a test car

    1974 : sold to Dave White via Peter Gregg.

    1975 : sold to Edgar Ramirez, Costa Rica

    1985 : sold to Diego Febles, Costa Rica

    1995 : converted to street car

    2012 : sold back to Dave White, Tampa, Florida

    2016 : offer for sale by John Starkey, Florida

    2016 : sold to Europe/ France
