I can add a good news to the tread here

The 2 alloy casting ( black ones ) are in production
with a minor improvement to the orginal design ( Internal ) and we know many of the are cracked where the colum tube goes trough

    should be ready soon

Also here is the pin I was talking about, not a roll pin but still a pin on the bottom that holds that upper steering column into the lower brace.
I think if you use this roll pin, the steering lock won’t fit.

Very nice, good work Marek - yes they all crack where it is clamped onto the tube which makes the column loose.

You are really on this pin and the steering lock - the 2 items seem totally unrelated to me. The pin is to secure the clamshell to the lower column, it’s on the other side of the housing away from the column lock and it doesn’t go into the tube.

Apologies that I was not clear enough. I am aware of what you point out. I wonder if it’s correct (despite a parts manual showing all the parts) that on an early car it’s either a pin or a steering lock since when the pin is used the lock won’t line up and vice versa. Also either is sufficient to hold the inner tube and both are not needed?
