    To keep or not

Here’s the story. In 1973 I was racing my ‘65 and at the time I replaced the glass windows with plexiglass. After the car was raced I ended up putting all the original glass back in decades ago except for the rear quarter windows. I had always intended to put the originals back in. Yesterday I pulled the quarter windows out and unwrapped the original windows.

This is what I found. I don’t even remember putting these decals on, but I know I did in the early 70s. Vintage Hobie Cat decals.

What do you guys think, keep them on or take them off.

    John

Ahhhh the sixties... I envision myself one early Saturday morning wearing plaid shorts, black shoes with white socks smoking a cigarette heading to the hardware store to buy a bag of nails.
SWB cars are an acquired taste however once acquired theirs no turning back.

Just one guy's opinion but not only would I keep them but Id try to find another period decal so it doesnt appear to be just a "one off" thing. A couple would add to the vintage look I think your car would represent. Since you're a left coaster, maybe an old but well know surf shop?

    I would definitely keep them.
That is a water slide decal. They are becoming scarce.
I had a 69 912 that I bought from a woman who was a dead head. It had 3 or 4 Dead water slide decals. I sold that car a few years ago and one of my fondest recollections is that car with those period decals.

    But it's all right now
    I learned my lesson well
You see, you can't please everyone
So you got to please yourself
