Question re the Dating of Early Porsche 911/912 Windshield Wiper Assemblies

I am looking at a windshield wiper assembly for an early 911/912. See Photo # 1. It doesn’t have a Porsche part # on its base like the early assembly base shown in Photos #s 2 and 3. Instead, it simply has the name Edschol stamped into the base. See Photo # 4. Can someone please explain why some early wiper assembly bases had inscribed Porsche parts numbers while others just had the Edschol stamping? Thanks.

I do not know when the part number was introduced, but early linkages only had the “Edscha” stamped.

Thanks Haul. I came to the same conclusion. Are there any photos of the earliest linkages, one for the 64 and early 65 911s?

Check the thread of 300090. He posted his mechanism,

Can you tell from the attached photos the approximate date of the wiper assembly? I don't have any additional photos or access to the assembly. Just the photos. Thanks.

It looks to me that this mechanism can not be taken apart? I don’t see clips?

Here is a photo of the underside of the assembly. It looks similar to 300090's. The fittings for the wiring are not the same.
