Great job, John. The seats look fantastic. I bet the car feels better on the road now that you are firmly planted. Well done...,

Thanks Clark. After a single drive in the mountains yesterday and some puttering around over the weekend, I can report that this was a major upgrade. I realized that the seat springs felt very soft, so much of what felt like body roll was, in fact, the seat bottom leaning. I now have a much better sense of what the car is doing in the twisties (and it’s much better than I had perceived). All that and they look great.

I’ll update after I’ve had more seat time, but I can report being VERY happy with the change after the first weekend of driving. While fit is very subjective, I find these very comfortable with the side bolsters fitting ‘just right’ for me. Relative to the comfort seats, you sit in these, rather than on them. Since I’m not trying to present these as original, that they’re roughly a fifth the cost of a pair of original Recaros was a no-brainer. Fit, finish and overall quality of the D’Esers is first rate.

Compared to comforts chalk and cheese

The deser' bottom side bolsters are a little "flatter" than real recaro seats but that has little impact on the performance of the seats.

With the price of restored recaro seats these days these are a fabulous option.
