Thread: My new muffler

    My new muffler

This just arrived. Long process but great result. Only problem was delivery. After clearing customs in Memphis it disappeared into Fedex Valhalla for 3 weeks. They finally found it. This is one of the series custom made by 718RSK. Also got one of Eric Lindens muffler tips and two clamps I bought years ago when Carmel Skip was closing out his project. My Targa was built in February of 1967. Muffler appropriately stamped.

Sorry the last two pictures are upside down. But you can see the Leistritz markings and the 02 67 date code. Great stuff by Joris on muffler and Eric linden on extension tip.

Got to get it off to my engine builder. Will post the result. I'm sure it will be Aces! Heavy as all get out.

Please weigh the muffler, if possible.

Knowing JK (aka 718RSK), it will fit and perform perfectly.

    Thanks for the weight.

I have a couple of used factory mufflers and they weigh between 25 - 27 lbs.
