    Struts - Koni or Boge

How can I identify if the front struts on my 1970 911T are Koni or Boge?

Konis are Red and Boge are black, aren't they? I believe there is a Koni insert made for the Boge strut, though, so no telling what the shock is by the outside color.

Also, the gland nut (the nut that holds the insert into the strut housing) is fine thread on Koni and coarse thread on Boge.

I would like to make the additional comment that when shopping for Koni struts, Paragon Products had the best price by a long shot. Most of the big Koni advertisers couldn't even get front struts for SWB cars. They had a listing but no stock and had no idea when they would be off "back order".

    Rick,

I want some pics of your new baby! Sorry I missed you at the German Autofest. I didn't make it home from N.Y. in time. Keep in touch
