    tires

my 1973 911S needs new shoes. the car is a weekend driver, not autocrossed or rallied, with the stock Fuchs alloys. most of the tires i know about are either very performance oriented (soft) or built to last (hard). can anybody recommend a tire that balances durability and grip?

    tires

Last year after much deliberation I finally bought a set of Yokohama AVS intermediates for my 7 x 15 Fuchs. They have great adhesion but don't have a very long life span, maybe 15,000 miles. Still, if you don't drive every day they should still last you for a decent stretch of time. I definitely recommend them.
