One of my least favoured topics.

Two years ago I ordered all 4 pockets from an authorised dealer 3 of which turned up almost immediately. The fourth, one of the pull down pockets was promised shortly.

    I still don't have it.

To cut a long story short Porsche have lost their supplier of this and other similair trim products. They went broke.

Porsche are apparently looking for an alternative supplier and have assured my dealer they will supply eventually. I am not holding my breath.

It is claimed that some of the specialist wreckers in germany have NOS of pockets which they will sell for a Kings ransom. For me any price is a good one.

I don't believe that there are any new pockets available from any dealer throughout the world.

I would be pleased to be proven wrong by any persons reading this post.

I can be contacted at cboyer@bigpond.com.au

    Door Pockets for '73 S

I am working with a company in Europe, as we speak, to get newly manufactured door pockets into this country. They are not totally ramped up yet, but it should be soon and they will be much cheaper than the ones we see offered from Tweeks, etc.

I will keep the group up to date with this.

    Latest News....

The company I was talking to is not going to be making the pockets, but they are releasing the molds to an individual (I am waiting to get this info) so he can produce them in his shop.

I will give the forum an update before the end of the week.

    Re: Door Pockets

Make me the Aussie agent if it comes to fruition. We will sell plenty down here, well plenty for a small country with a few Porsches that is.
