    Targa rear window

I presume(often a dangerous thing to do) that the defrost/heat strips on the rear targa window can not be fixed. does anyone know. A new one is over US$1000.

    Hello

It is possible to restore the resistor paths. Südglas in Bietigheim can do it but it would be cheper to buy a new unit.

There is some restoration aid around that will restore the function but not the looks. You can mask the clas an spray the heat strip area with a matching color. You will not regoginze it on the first look but if you look real close you will see the other texture.

    Hello

One fact on restoration is that nothing is impossible and if you need rare parts you sometimes have to make them or repair what you have.

There is a difference beetween Restoration and Repair. Most people will Repair there cars and call it a Restoration but a Restoration says fix what you have and avoid new parts.

For comparson if you have a old Picture and you retore it then most people will understand that you keep as much substance as possible. In the car buissines some think it is better to repaint it, now with better colors and finer Brushes and these time you fix all the misstakes the artist made.......
