    SSI heater boxes

I have had a personal tour by John Danials of his complete facility. Very impressive. Without question,he has MFI boxes for the MFI cars. I saw racks of them. What a sight!!

    mfi boxes

I was going to refer you to Stainless Systems directly, but they won't sell to you direct. You have to be a dealer. You can e-mail me- eurotech@together.net I will get them for you if you like.

    Re: mfi boxes

    Hello

The additional heating is used for cold wheater driving and lowering the emmisions at the cold phase.

Porsche found out thata aged rubber boot beetween the aircleaner and the thermostat lowered the WOT output.

Ageing was messured by WOT cyceling. The underpressure sucked the rubberhose to a lower diameter.

So on most RS the rubber boot was removed.

At each inspection you have to check the timing at 6000 then go further on to check if the ignition cutout works. While doing that keep a eye on the rubber hose. I fixed that problem for the winter drivers with a internal steel spirale like in the red heating hoses.
All others drive open tube without the preheating system.

Has anyone with a 2.4S with Bosch fuel injection actually got a set of the SSI heat exchangers with the extra tube for the hose from the hot air regulator housing. I am still yet to be convinced that SSI exchangers do exist in the correct form for these cars
