Andy, Kudos on the seal! Finally something I've done, touch-up paint. Be sure no loose paint around the edges of the scratch. Then, fill in using layers of touch-up paint, letting each layer cure well before adding the next. Try to get your touch-up a wee bit higher than the factory paint, then a use a mild polish to bring it all level. Oh you'll still know it's there, but I doubt anybody else will. For very narrow scratches, one can make a polish applicator pad, a rag stretched over the end of a small dowell, 2 or more layers of cloth. Go slowly, gently...
This from experience with the '72 factory enamel paint. If you've got the new clear coat paint? Maybe a conversation with a good body shop man could help...they don't mind giving away "secrets" in the interest of future biz.
