    Too Good to be true

    Hi pwd72s,
    In re-reading the messages left on the subject, I realize you may be right. Didn't mean to jump on my fellow 911S-ers. I should double check before launching into my next polemic. That's what happens when ones gets too long winded.

    If this is the same car.......and I think it is, I spotted it when it first came out in Hemmings almost two years ago. Same car, same price, same area. The guys story was that he was selling it for a sick friend, or some good reason why he couldn't answer all the 911S questions. Never did run for it cuz I'm personally not a Targa man. Every time I called him he said I'd better hurry as a deposit was almost on it's way from somewhere and he didn't want me to miss out on a great car! I remember the milage was represented as something low like 35-38 K miles. Actually I think the miles were documented, it just had a hard life.

    "only driven on weekends"...right??? Translation: Every dragstrip within 200 miles...dunno why the engine & transmission need work. BUT the rear end was replaced twice under warranty..
