Thread: Sorry these are case stud not head studs.

    Sorry these are case stud not head studs.

    I wasn't clear. It is not the head studs. It is the case studs on the bottom of the engine that hold the 2 case halves together. The head studs are not to difficult to repair. It is these on the bottom that I need help with.

    If it were me. I would just replace the studs with a longer bolt of the same thread pitch and put a nut and washer on the opposing side. Then when rebuild time came I would either repair with an insert or just replace the case.
