    Vintage Porsche Motorsports catalog ?

Anyone seen such a thing, specifically for the 70's? The rear shocks on my 72 have begun to leak - finally! Supposedly they're OE Porsche RSR shocks, green Bilstein with part number 911.333.051.35AE. The Bilstein part number (?) is 000012088. Also, the lower mount is stamped with the numbers 170 and 180.

Of course, I need to replace these. But with what? Grady in a pinch to use 911 Bilstein race shocks. It would be nice to find out what the specs were/are.

    Thanks

Why not just have Bilstein rebuild them? You can reach them at 800-537-1085. They should be able to restore them to original specs and condition.

Jason, in the long term I may do that. In the short term I have track dates this weekend and the first weekend in June.

    Porsche Motorsports Catalog

Greg, I have one, or two really. There was one for people who wanted to buy a race car direct from the factory, and another for people who already owned a car and wanted to convert it to a race car. I think mine were dated 1972, though I haven't looked at them for a while. Email me if you are interested. I am at carlsonmark@msn.com.

I think Chuck Moreland of Elephant Racing is a Bilstein dealer. He specializes in suspension and oil cooling for the 911.

I've always considered the glass to be half full...that is until I reached middle age and realized that it is actually half empty.
