I have a set of 2.2L cast iron T cylinders which have wear lines which catch on the fingernail. Since honing the cylinders alone is not going to restore them to good condition, I am concidering boring out the cylinders because new pistons are in the works for this motor anyway (low compression ratio for turbo).

Anyone have any experiences with boring out the cast iron cylinders? How far is it safe to bore them? What about sleeving the cylinders?
