    engine code

Easy question.Where is the engine code located on a 71 911?

If you mean the engine number, go to the 3 o'clock position on the fan, then look straight down...there will be an upright post casting as part of the engine case. The engline number is stamped on the rightward facing flat part of this casting. If no number there, it means a replacement case...cases weren't given that number, only complete engines.
