No CD on 65-68 cars, not on a 67 S either

I think CDI was available late '68 model year as an optional kit but don't know exactly when (my guess is approx Jan-July1968); it appears as kit 901.602.010.00 in the "Repair Sets" section of the '65-'68 Parts Catalogue.

The CD box's started on the MY1969 cars because the 67S cars would get sick from driving in stop and go traffic back in the day. Chris

Porsche recommended Delta Mk 10 or Sydmur Fireball CDs for non CD equipped cars. Sydmur has a steel box if I remember correctly and is somewhat rare, Delta is in aluminum and is pretty easy to find. 911s run better with CD ignition

67S can not use the pressure fed tensioner, so you would use the turbo with the wider idler arm. The only way is to remove the covers and inspect the tension ers Chris
