Loaded with the bra, they bulge. But once bought new and folded, it fits perfect.

There was a previous discussion about these bags and me too thought they are meant for the oval shaped "Tourist delivery" German Export plates. But its definitely not OEM, its Colgan. Its a nice item and I use them as travel bags for small stuff.
Saw this "super bra" ad in the 1969 Porsche Parade guide (nice parade intro by Ronald Reagan). One of these style bras came with my newly acquired silver 1971 Porsche 911T Targa. Definitely vintage…mine having a cloth sewn-in patch vs. imprinted graphic.

    I bit of trivia.

The woman in the car was Gerry Barbour. Dick Barbour owned AutoMotion at that time before opening his own dealership in La Mesa, CA.

1967 911 #307347, bare-bones, some road wear, a little surface rust, and a few dents..., owned 13 years.
    1970 914/6GT, (Sold - ran the last three Rennsports)owned 30 years.

Most likely, yes. Most other parts of the world use rear plates that would not have fit that panel.

A Halda Speedpilot was a mechanical instrument for Time-Speed-Distance rallying. It helped a driver maintain an average speed.

Halda made, typewriters, watches, and taxi meters and branched out into rally instruments: odometers and the Speedpilot computer. They still make watches.

The basics of operation were that you'd set the required speed on the left dial and the internal gears would drive a hand on the right "clock" side so that if the driver kept a different hand on the "clock" which was driven by the odometer even with the first hand the car wold be at the correct average speed.

In 1956, the 50 US states and Canada agreed with the Automobile Manufacturers Association to fix the size of all passenger vehicle license plates at 6 by 12 inches.
