Thread: Rare Early Options

  1. #101
What a great thread...thanks for bumping this back up, I must have missed it earlier.

I've never seen another early car ordered with the 9189 Sisal floor mat set which included a rear deck mat. Even with inflation making it about $70, the $9.90 charged seems like a bargain for such high quality mats...I'm surprised these weren't ordered more often.

On the order sheet for my '66 911 described here are requests for European Bosch headlights (my car has H1s), 9204/9205 lap and shoulder seat belts for both sides, antenna mounted on right hand side, clear front parking lights, and amber rear turn signals. My car still has these things.

I thought too for a long time. But Its wrong.
They contained the Calgon front bra and are not OEM. Calgon manufactured it for 356 and later also for 911 models.
Their design varied troughout the years, always with a Porsche crest. Earlier design had the crest imbedded, later had a white print. I own four of them, from various years.

Cocomats including front and rear tunnel piece.
(Cocomats were a factory option but many brands and period design existed at that time.)
