Past tense RS ownership seems to be a new theme here these days.

Rick, does he still have the ST?

    It's the money

The cars that have been sold recently, I think just sit in the gararges anyway, and are never driven. When people get offered 2, 3, 0r 4 times what they paid for them, the business side of the personality says SELL !!
Yes, I think right now he still has the ST. Probably waiting for the "right" offer.

"The car was built in a batch of 7 at the factory in 1972 I believe. Its based on a 72 S chassis. It was raced in europe before Vasek purchased it. My daughter and I were at NHIS and Matt took us out for a "Taste of the Track". It is a 2.5 high butterfly screamer which turns 8500 rpm!! Wahoo!!!! And yes Matt can drive it well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Mark"

    A lot of 7?

yes Baudett you are correct to question the "7"
it was the first of 21 almost identical 2.5 M491 "ST's" produced in 1972 primarily for customer competition purposes see some more in this thread http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...ltimate+thread
