Hi all out there,
i have another question:
I have pictures ob an original 72T from USA which is for sale.
The colour of the car is a green met.
have a look at the car:
Ok fine, it looks like the 224 metallic green
but here is the colour plate from the same car, which says "230"
i dont know a colour which code is 230? In my factory book and some other books say the met green is a 224...
The car comes which its original paint...
can someone help?
BTW:
the first version of my colour-Database is online, but at time only in german language. If you want to see it you can find it at:

But you see, that i miss many colours...
Best Regards
Winnie
1972 T targa vipergreen in very bad condition (what should i do with it?)
1972 T Coupe in restoration (i'll do many work on it)
1978 SC Targa in good condition and a lil bit more hp's than the original 180 (al lil bit to new for me, but a great driver)
Brett Johnson's book lists no such color code for '72...could that be the code for a special order color?

Winnie,
The car pictured is a '73 911 (black horn grills, no right side oil door). In Morgan's book 230 is Metallic Green, a special order color in 1973.
Edit: Looks like Jens beat me to it.

This car is owned by Jeff Trask, one of the founding members of the 912 Registry and a damn nice guy. This is the lead car in the photo of the line of 912s that I took for the article that I wrote for Excellence (horrible sentence) ... the issue that featured Jack Olsen's car.Originally posted by Bobboloo
Jared, Here's a Bahama Yellow 912. I believe the car you showed is Champagne Yellow.
I believe the owner of this Targa is proud of the fact that he has two less cylinders.
Also, this little 912 - 1720cc - managed to give me religion on the backroad romp that the 912 Registry took at their last gathering ... it also gave me a whole new respect for the "Wannabe" 911s. Truth be told, at speed a 912 handles more like a 914 than a 911 - go figure
