    door panels

I am trying to return my recently acquired `73 911 S to stock, or close.I have sport seats that have the perforatedmaterial on outer panels and basket-weave on inner bolsters.Color is black. What should the door panels be ? Leather-grain like the dash or basket=weave like the seate ?
    Thanks,JACKER

    Jacker,

Not quite sure of your definitions but...

The standard 73' sport seat configuration is:
Fine grain leather or leatherette on the outside bolsters and perforated leather/ette or hounds tooth material or corduroy for the seat bottom and back. The door panels should be fine grain leatherette in black, brown, or tan with black arm rests.

    Basket-weave was for pre 72'-73'

    Hope this helps...

    That's one on me Nick…

Could you show me a pic of a stock 'F' series 73' 911 with basket-weave door panels please…

    Thanks,

Actually...ANY excuse to post a pic...if it works...of a '72 door panel. I dunno about which vinyl was used...the light colored stuff here is "beige leather"...

was I "just bragging" with the above post? Only partially...but also this is a test. Trying to figure out why I can post some pics but not all..

I'm with Chuck on this one. '72 and '73 door panels are leather grain and not basketweave (unfortunately).

73's = fine grain leather or leatherette. Never seen basketweave on a '73.

My 71 has basketweave door panels, the bolsters on the seats are perforated leatherette/vinyl(???) and basketweave inserts...
