Hey man, first of all...nice car! The look? You might do well to get the original valence, paint it up, and then swap them from time to time, get the feel of the aero-benefits. To my eye it looks good with both, so it's your call. Period correctness? Well, performance upgrades for "sports purposes" is a good thing. And at least it's in the Early S period. Nice to have the correct parts on hand just in case there's a concours moment somewhere. The ARs should look great too.

I made the mistake of first reading this thread without logging on first. Unprotected by filtering, I was once again victim to the Deuche's ravings. I agree that there must be some deep seated need for attention, even when it's negative (especially maybe?). His line, "I guess that says alot for the intellectual capacity of this Board's correspondents." Doesn't say a lot for positive attention, or intellectual enlightenment. Har! Must be a twelve step program somewhere....for self-flagellation.

    Anyway, keep the faith.

Wink No you are not crazy!

Well, to start with, I think your car looks fantastic as is!
But I like it without the spoiler, too. Is that a photoshop image, somebody posted!?
But you have the same problem that I have...
Not enough 911s, to realize all the favored looks in a garage at the same time!!!
So eventually, we have to expand, right...?
Keep the addiction alive !!!, we are "lost souls" anyway, but 911s are at least a quite "healthy addiction", I am not talking about our bank accounts... ; )))
Till I can do that, I try stuff out in 2D...
Well, this sketch was actually done before my first style change according color coded wheels and slightly modified R graphics...
    We'll see what's next!

Sorry Roger, you're absolutely right. My perimeter support system was down! A gentle (or not so gentle) thwack upside the head usually brings me around. Now back to the program; Anybody got Torque Thrust Ds for me?!

Like Thorsten said, gotta get more cars! One of each look. Here's a good pic of the earlier, less aerodynamic bumpers that was posted by someone.

Nice Sketch Thorsten. Good to see some old school marker and prisma in this day of paintbox programs. I like your color scheme, would have made a nice factory RS combo.

What happened to my response to this outlandish Tabs bashing? Did the PC police come and take it away? We musent offend anybody now...wouldn't want to hurt anybodies feelings, might damage their self esteem. Hypocrits....It's the "ME" generation, "My feelings were hurt ouuuu you bad person you, but it's allright for me to say anything I want about Tabby Doll." Well Tabby is a REAL MAN, he doesn't usually go whining to Mother about his feelings getting a BooBu...unless it's to prove a point!

Thanks for the Old School Marker compliments...

Computers are just tools for me...
Studiopaint and too much Photoshop looks dead to me, and unifies what you are drawing...
The emotional stuff gets done with basic things...
So Markers and Prismacolor Pencils were just the most effective way to get my color scheme down.
It seems to work, thanks to all those compliments I get...on the street and out here... ; )))
At the 'Le Mans' DVD Screening at the Anaheim Pond
last year there was even a beautiful WHITE 72 RS (spec) using the brighter blue whhels and grafics. Why not a little different, it's a 'unique and real' hot rod anyway!?!
