I had 195/60-15 on 6x15 wheels on my 72' and it looked correct. 205/55 looks a little chubby but I like the look. Right now I've got 215/55 on later 7x15's on the car. It doesn't really look correct but not bad.

I've always considered the glass to be half full...that is until I reached middle age and realized that it is actually half empty.

195/65 x 15 is the closest thing out there to the 185/70 x 15 original equipment tires.

If you want dead original go with the Michelin XWX from Coker at a pretty stiff price or buy the Fuldas someone mentioned. I have no idea where to buy them in the US.
Best to all,

Yokohama A008P 195/65-15's on 6's and 7's work great for me
with those tall sidewalls it looks real retro compared to todays dubs
nice combination of comfort and stick when I want to get frisky (there's that word again)
any pictures Bob?

Corn Panzer,
I guess the A008P's in 195/65 are not available any more - bummer.
When things warm up around here I will take some photos - right now my photos are bigger than 100K and won't post here
