Has anyone bought this yet? First glance at the SEMA show looked promising.

Brian Long's "Porsche 911, The Definitive History 1963 to 1971" yes, and it's pretty good.
I think it is somewhat lacking in technical info, but has great race info and cool early advertisements. Overall, a good addition to the library. I paid $37 something through barnes and noble.com.

Thanks for that Kevin. I just bought the book through amazon.com for $35 and bought Karl E. Ludvigsen's "Porsche: Excellence Was Expected" for $169 as well. Shipping to England was only $30

I just received mine, so I'm in the early chapters. So far, so good. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that this is the first in a series which the author will tacle by time period, so more early car stuff to come !!

If you go flying back through time and you see somebody else flying forward into the future, it's probably best to avoid eye contact....
