Soon to be a VG - "E" Progress Report

Well, you have patiently listened to my very "newbie" questions and given me reasonable answers. It has been a number of months since I joined this "Party" and it is about time that I was able to share with you the progress on my car. And the work has begun!!

We are now looking at a delivery date of April 25th, everything going OK, and since he could find nothing else to do around his shop except work on my car (only kidding Mike), he has begun the process of taking the car apart so that he could paint it.

This is the first series of photos that I have of the work in progress. Today he was going to pull the engine and tranny (which he is going to detail - including bead blasting the fan) and pull the wheels and put it on a dolly so that he can move it around a bit.

There are no seats in the car, since I am getting a set of sport seats, which will be reupholstered in black vinyl with houndstooth inserts. Getting really excited here. Wish I knew how to post multiple pictures at once. Excuse my many pictures and enthusiasm. But, it seems that this is coming to reality. Hard to believe.

Here's the trunk open. You can see the vestiges of the original Viper Green. C'mon back Viper Green.

Here's the rear end. Carrera tensioners, new MFI pump, good leakdown and compression tests. Saw a post on Pelican with different fan treatments, colors, etc. Decided on bead blasting and powder coating clear. Should be smashing!!

Here's the high view from drivers side. Targa top recently redone, dynamat on the floors, short shift kit, new clutch and tranny rebuild, new rubber all around the Targa Top.
