    rear torsion bar woes

I'm attempting to adjust the rear ride height of my car (1st time). After removing the torsion bar cover and unbolting the spring plate, the assembly will not slide off the torsion bar, even with prybar pressure (see pic). I have read the archives, and can't find any missing step. Is this just a matter of using force or is there a technique ?

    TIA

If you go flying back through time and you see somebody else flying forward into the future, it's probably best to avoid eye contact....

Two pry bars. You don't want to 'wedge' it. Kind of a jerking motion seems to be better than gradual force.
