With all due respect to Jack, more rubber and engine is the antethesis of what the early 911 is all about IMO. That's why I'm staying with RS flares and having a hot rod 2.8L built for my '72 track car.

Speaking of '72 911s, Zimmerman has a thing about the '72 gear boxes with internally replaced input shaft seals that precludes his including this year from his list of best early 911s - he has a point, but he forgot it applies to the first 2/3rd of '73 911 production as well.
