Well, at least the seller isn't claiming it to be a "rare factory RS slantnose prototype".

We should all remember this VIN. The easiest way to make this an RS again is to swap the numbers and RS specific bits with a good clone, wait a year or two and claim it "fully restored".

As prices rise, this shady activity becomes more likely to happen.

    RS "Fake"

My understanding is the plate had the designation SC for the RS cars not F series so as to distingusih them in the factory but the plate on this one definately has F on it apart from all the other issues.

Like Don said, The stamping of the vin# above the gas tank is very poorly done. Totally fake. Never was a RS, never will be!

This thing is the embodiment of the term Fright Pig. I thought the white RS in Japan was very questionable, this thing is off the scale. For interest sake I would like to see the production # to prove it should go to the crusher. I find it amazing that both of these cars never made it through the complete auction process. This one ending on a 'Buy it know' and the other who knows.

I have had the idea, I am sure others have had, to organize a Registry with a webpage to keep track of the RSs that still exist, Nothing crazy just a site where there would be a vin# photo and country. The owner's name and exact location could all be a secret. What do you think?

    Best,

    Don

That could be done as well George with photos and all. I would like to keep a full register not just the junkers. That would not be as rewarding.

    Good idea

I'll go along with that, although I have no ability to set up the site.
