    Lightweight light boxes are here...

    Light weight light boxes are here... east coast elves at work!

    DIE CAST= HEAVY

    fiberglass=light

    For years I have been installing these heavy light boxes and kept on thinking damn I should make these, well I did, and its been long road to perfection, but they are done. Full production next week, the tooling has passed the test. These boxes are lightweight, ready for electricals, insert sockets or LED panels, add rubber gasket and install.

    I am sending a few out next week for inspection and will work on orders from there. I know, I know price? I will have a price structure for race and street after the weekend. There are several other FRP parts to come in the next week, stuff I have been thinking about for years, knowing what everyone else makes, and that I, and my customers have a need for. Anything is possible....now its time to make it happen. Amber K&N watershields are done also.

    Nice work! Keep us posted on pricing. I'm sure there will be more than a few takers.

    Hey 900..

    Any update on the pricing?

    Have you figured the weight savings?

    Any thoughts on the heat dissipation and the long term affects on the lenses? The originals being metal conduct some of the heat generated in the housing. Just curious what others might think.

    Cheers all,
    Michael

    I have been working on the manufacturing process elimanating steps as they are labor intensive to maintain good detail and perfect "bolt on" product. Still have not sourced high intensity LEDS at a reasonable price, however the standard incandescent lights are working fine. The rears weigh in at 5.5+/- oz. and I sell the pair at $265. I will have these and all the shrouds in amber and colors, 2.0 -3.6, heat block offs, early headlight covers, K&N's, etc at Rennsport Reunion for inspection. I will be in the pits with a white 72 RS in shell livery and a white 74 RSR #3 in Martini Livery. email for more contact info
