Thread: Northern California Event

    Targa,

I'll check in w/my 2 neighbors and get them confirmed. I assume we'll have to prepay? If so, can you let me know (PM or email is fine) who to make the check's to (assume not 'Targa' )?

    Let's get a hard count.

PS - thought RGruppe was started in NorCal, yet it seems mostly an LA active (not trying to start an argument, just wondering where all the NorCal RGruppers are at). PSS - Guys from the southland are more than welcome. I've been waiting over a year to meet Chuck, Roger, Sherwood, Jack, etc.... Come on up boys! Looks like 914-6 will be heading up the caravan.

Alice's Restaurant in the hills above HalfMoonBay serves really bad coffee, but also serves up really good roads! There are also some very nice drives from SearsPoint out to Stinson Beach.

On Saturday (after the races), a large group of the actual racecars get a Policy escort out of the Paddock, up through the winecountry to the Town Square in Sonoma. There they park all these vintage racecars around the town square, and have a street/sidewalk wine and food festival. Its a VERY cool event, but I'm not sure our cars would be the center of attention. Still, a very worthwhile weekend. Hope to see at least 20 of you.

Johnny was 3 & a half last June, and was more excited than I was to see that car on his shirt. He calls it 'his Porsche'. Its a great family event as the kids can walk the paddock and touch the cars (even the Gulf GT40). Not at all as uptight as Pebble.

The way it works is as follows:

    1) We need 20 participants for our own corral
    2) We need to confirm participation by May 20
    3) Tickets must be purchased by May 20 to guarantee corral space and discounted parking

So, we need to verify which day(s) we'll be there (I vote for Sunday) and collectively buy 20 tickets by May 20. I'll be glad to coordiante the purchase of the tickets. We first need to document who's coming, either via PM or here on the board.

If we can't make 20, we could at least particpate in the PCA corral.

    Here's the list so far:

    1) 68redlines73
    2) Mr9146
    3) yopurp (+ 2 friends?)

Who else can commit? It would be great to have this group there with a club banner. Can admin apply a sticky to keep this at the top of the threads?

    Peter

    Question Nor Cal event

    Hi guys,

Put me down on the stand by list, I will try. Just about all my vaction time will be used up with me going to Rennsport and then Monterey for the annual R Gruppe bash. If I can swing it I will be there!
